WebThe Irchester Wesleyan Methodist Society had been established as a Chapel in c.1788 in what was the area known as Chapel Yard. This building continued as a Chapel until 1869, when the present building came into being. The old Chapel was converted into three houses, until, along with other houses in Chapel Yard, they were finally demolished in 1958. Irchester is a village and civil parish in North Northamptonshire, two miles (3 km) south-east of Wellingborough and two miles south-west of Rushden. The population of the village at the 2011 Census was 5,706 and estimated in 2024 at 5,767. Little Irchester and Knuston also lie in the parish.
