Sternal fracture radiology
網頁Identification of associated injuries carrying high morbidity and mortality is of paramount importance when considering the diagnosis of sternal fracture. Dedicated sternal views are more sensitive than PA and lateral chest radiographs in identifying sternal fractures by changing the viewing angle and exposure of the radiograph. 網頁Fractures of the phalanxes, scaphoid, calcaneous, skull, and those of intra-articular surfaces develop minimal to no callus that is evident on radiography. 5, 13 In these cases, clinical parameters, such as lack of pain with movement or tenderness to palpation, are used to assess fracture healing.
